News from David Pineda / La Paz, Bolivia

We started our campaign “I’m a disciple” that has the purpose to go back to our roots and deepen convictions as we follow Christ and help others to follow Him. We’ll also have an evangelistic event the 1st Sunday of November by celebrating our 19th year as an established legal church in this beautiful country of Bolivia for all of our family and friends. This end of the year campaign has been an incredible experience for the whole church in La Paz.

God has a better plan

Today, Sunday October 25th, 2015 was a day when we saw God renewing a plan of evangelization for all of La Paz.  The church was grouped into three as we had a service in El Alto, Central zone and South zone. We remembered how Gideon was used as a powerful instrument of God to defeat their enemies with just 300 soldiers just to make it clear that it was God who gave the victory. “The Lord said to Gideon, “You have too many men. I cannot deliver Midian into their hands, or Israel would boast against me, ‘My own strength has saved me.’ Judges 7:2  We are convinced that God wants to give more than we ask or imagine in this city and through all of Bolivia. We are full of gratitude to see the continual support we’ve received from volunteers from different countries, who have given their time, effort and finances to make this a reality.  Eni, a disciple from the NY church, came to give her heart to La Paz, as many others have done. The Florida Missions Council for their continuous support and generous churches like Tampa, Sarasota, South Florida and North River, that together we celebrate Gods miracles in all his disciples in Bolivia; to Him be the glory!

Sunday House Church Service in El Alto

We started with disciples giving breakfast in the morning to around 50 people that day, who normally would not have eaten.  Later they joined together to have their house church meeting.

Church service in central zone

The service started with some difficulties as the place where we normally rent to gather was closed but the disciples decided to go to a nearby public park where they sang, shared their faith and preached the word of God. The service turned out to be better than planned.

Church service in south zone

The south zone had a great time of prayer and diving into the word of God having a more clear vision of what God wants for us as disciples and also getting to see our friends come to the service and wanting to be firm in their commitment to come and learn more.
